Gift to Narad of OM symbol from Sunanda and Bharati Reddy

Description:

The Om is made with dried wild pressed flowers from our lake.
The red tint in the background is a vermillion powder used in India for pujas and sacred auspicious ceremonies. It signifies protection.
Kamalaben did the following Puja.
Mother's Lotus Feet were placed in a silver dish and washed with sacred Ganga water. Then they wee smeared with the vermillion powder (Kunkum)
After the Pooja the feet were again washed with rose water which was collected in the silver dish.
Now, this sanctified water was dried in the sun and left the residue of Kunkum which has kissed Mother's feet.
This is the powder used here in our OM.
